Care Guide

Aurea pieces are works of art. They are made with love,
using the highest quality gemstones and precious metals that the earth has to offer. Aurea jewels should be worn and enjoyed. By following these care instructions, your special pieces will remain sparkling for many years to come.

It is inevitable that your jewellery, especially rings will incur light scratches over time, these can be easily polished out. It is important however to be mindful of contact with abrasive or hard objects that can cause deep scratches or denting. Avoid lifting weights and heavy items like suitcases, as this can result in distorting and bending the ring, which in some cases can cause stones to come loose or fall out.

Whilst diamonds are the hardest mineral on earth, they are
not indestructible. It is possible to chip or crack them if they suffer a hard impact. Avoid wearing your precious jewels to the gym or any other labour-intensive activity.

Avoid wearing your jewellery when showering, cooking or
washing up. Greasy substances can leave a film on the back of your gems which can make them appear dull. Trapped moisture under rings in some cases can cause dermatitis.

The best way to clean your jewellery at home is to soak your
pieces in warm soapy water for a few minutes, and then gently scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush. Make sure to scrub under the gemstones to remove any trapped dirt.

Aurea pieces come with complimentary cleaning, polishing and servicing. It is recommended to have your ring cleaned and inspected every 6-12 months to ensure that your piece is still in good condition and the stones are secure. Polishing will brighten up your jewellery and remove light surface scratches, making it look like new again.
